“The other thing that I would say about using and investigating and having science be your guiding light is one study is never going to rock the field and completely upend everything. So as scientists, we get excited when something like that 100 gram protein study comes out because we’re like, this is adding to the information that we know, it’s not completely changing it. So when you look at the science, what you really want to be looking at is the consensus across several different studies, right? So the best studies that you can go and look at are really things like meta -analyses, right? Where they take 15 studies, put them together, and come up with what are all of these studies together showing us? You know, there, if you were to ask the academics, there’s problems with meta -analyses as well. But, you know, what you’re looking for here is not necessarily the one -off study that makes a good headline and makes a good Instagram post.”
