“You know, the administration expects coaches to counter offer. And the key, Connor, is, and I think you might be finding out a little bit yourself, you got to do that early. So think when you’re buying a car. You don’t go and buy a car, take the dealership’s first offer and then come back a year later. and say, hi, I’d like to renegotiate this a little bit. Can I pay a little less? Are you out of your mind? No, this is what you’re making. So you gotta go hard early because it’s really hard to negotiate later.”
